Weatherstrip, of the type comprising an element (1) in the form of U-section, comprising a metal core (2) in a sheath of elastomer (3), this U element being intended to fit over the edge of a rabbet (4) of the skeleton of the boot. According to the invention, on the end of one of the arms of the U there is pivotally mounted a more or less stiff strip (8) which will squash to allow said rabbet (4) to enter when said U-section element (1) is installed on this wall. This strip comprises a part (12) or element turned towards the inside surface of the same arm of the U, which will bear against this surface, deforming elastically as it does so in order to stress said strip (8) in the opposite direction, in such a way that when said U-shaped part is in the mounted position on said rabbet, said strip (8) is stressed sideways to push against a surface of said rabbet. <IMAGE> |
