PURPOSE: To simplify a driving structure of a pump by providing a first gear driven by an engine, a second gear which meshes with the first gear and is drivingly connected to a propeller, and a third gear for driving a pump. CONSTITUTION: A stern driving device is so constructed that a bevel gear 13 fitted to the lower end part of a vertical driving shaft 116 meshes with a bevel gear 146 fitted to the front end of a propeller shaft, and a clutch device 216 is provided on a driving shaft 200 connected to the upper end of the driving shaft 1. By the operation of the clutch device 216, the bevel gears 204, 206 and the shaft 200 are selectively engaged and disengaged, and a bevel gear 164 fitted to a driving shaft 152 to which the power of an engine is transmitted is meshed with the bevel gears 204, 206. Further, a bevel gear 264 is meshed extending over the bevel gears 204, 206, and the rotation of the bevel gear 264 is transmitted to a pump 256 through a shaft 260. |
