A composite signal colour correction (CSCC) can be fed to the Scart socket of a television set or the composite video signal and the chrominance carrier can be fed separately to two inputs, as desired. The chrominance carrier may, for example, be in S-VHS. The aim is to obtain automatic detection and switching between these two possibilities. Adaptation to the different signals is effected by a test process initiated by means of logical evaluation of unambiguouly recognizable criteria at the two inputs. The invention is applicable to television sets with a Scart socket for a VHS signal or an S-VHS signal. |
