PURPOSE:To impart excellent antimicrobial properties by subjecting a molded thermoplastic product of a specific melting point containing a mixture of fine particles with a specific particle diameter or below of a metal or a compound thereof having germicidal action with a specified liquid polyester-based compound having a specific melting point and viscosity to discharge treatment in an inorganic or organic gas. CONSTITUTION:A molded thermoplastic product of >=200 deg.C melting point, containing fine particles of one or two or more metals, such as copper, silver, aluminum, zinc and iron, or compounds thereof, capable of releasing metal ions with germicidal action and having <=5mu average particle diameter together with a liquid polyester-based compound having <10 deg.C melting point and >=10P viscosity at <=25 deg.C dispersed therein is subjected to discharge treatment (e.g. arc discharge or plasma discharge) in an atmosphere of an inorganic or organic gas alone or a mixed gas thereof. |
