PURPOSE:To efficiently rotate and stand block like chopped materials by forming a bent portion at a position facing to a press roller on the upper side transfer portion of a carrying conveyor and also setting a difference of speed between the transfer speed of the upper side transfer portion of the carrying conveyor and the circumferential speed of the press roller. CONSTITUTION:When block like chopped materials (a) transferred on the upper side transfer portion of a carrying conveyor 1 is pressed downwards after the upper top end thereof is abutted to the contact portion 9 of a press roller 2 the bending portion 7 of the carrying conveyor 1 bends downward and the chopped materials move under their condition that they are gripped between the contact portion 9 of a press roller 2 and the upper side transfer portion 6 of the carrying conveyor 1. At this time, since the difference of speed is set between the transfer speed of the upper side transfer portion 9 of the carrying conveyor 1 and the circumferential speed of the press roller 2, the block like chopped materials (a) are gradually rotated at an angle of 90 degree to turn the direction of cut faces S to be upper and lower faces and they are transferred on the carrying belt 1 under that condition. |
