A compound of the formula (I): <CHEM> in which B is an imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-2-yl group which may be substituted, Q is a cyano group or a group of the formula: - @ - A - R wherein A is an oxygen or sulfur atom or a group of the formula :-NR<1>- (wherein R<1> is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group), R is a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group which may be substituted or a heterocyclic group which may be substituted, or its salt, which is useful as selective herbicide, and its production and use.
