PURPOSE:To make a partial errorneous magnetic field at and around the outlet part small so that high magnetic field precision and large current density may be compatible by forming a superconducting coil out of plural superconducting wires arranged in parallel, and providing independent exciting power sources separately for each row, and separating the outlet of each coil. CONSTITUTION:Since first and second coils 1a and 1b of a small conductor 1 which constitutes a superconducting coil are excited at low voltage independently by first and second exciting power sources 4a and 4b, the thickness of an insulator can be made small, and large current density can be realized, and by adjusting each exciting current an errorneous magnetic field by the winding errors of individual coils 1a and 1b is removed, and also since the outlet parts 2a and 2b of the first and second coils 1a and 1b are separated at an angle of 180 deg., a partial errorneous magnetic field can be made small. Moreover, it is possible to protect individual coils 1a and 1b from quenching phenomena peculiar to the superconducting coil. Accordingly, high magnetic field accuracy and large current density can be reconciled. |
