Ignition method for an atmospheric oil burner with an electrically operated ignition element

In order to make it possible for an atmospheric oil burner to be switched on again when the burner pot is (still) warm, e.g. shortly after the end of a previous combustion process, an ignition sequence which differs from that for the ignition of the oil burner when the burner pot is cold is initiated: when the burner pot is cold, the ignition sequence proceeds in principle in the order oil admission - ignition, whereas the ignition sequence when the burner pot is warm has the reverse order ignition - oil admission. The ignition sequence required in each case is triggered by a temperature sensor on the bottom of the burner pot.
