PURPOSE:To prevent generation of damage in edging a slab by moving a slide in parallel with the slab transfer line, pinching the slab by pinch rolls, and synchronously driving the pinch rolls and slide. CONSTITUTION:Slides 4 provided with a metal die 4a are installed in both sides of a slab 1 transfer line S to be capable of approaching and separating each other. A prescribed position returning device (cylinder) 42 moving the slides 4 in parallel with the line S is also installed. Pinch rolls 33a, 33b vertically pinching the slab 1 are installed in the line S. The rolls 33a, 33b and the slides 4 are synchronously driven by a driving device 31. Hence, downtime of all the line is reduced to improve the production efficiency. |
