PURPOSE: To easily control the heating speed by providing a hollow rotatable mold, a means for generating microwave radiation and a transmission means for sending the radiation into the mold while rotating the mold for heating the material, thereby heating a pipe wall material over its overall thickness by the microwave energy. CONSTITUTION: When a preparation for curing a pipe is made, movable carriages 27, 28 are made to approach a rotating mold 20 and disposed. A central conductor 24 is inserted into the mold until it is engaged with a universal multiple short-circuit structure 25. Rotary parts of labyrinth seals 23, 26 at both ends of the mold 20 are engaged with corresponding non-rotating parts of the seals. In order that the microwave radiation is sent to the mold 20, a microwave generator 1 is used, the energy is measured by power level meters 7, 8, and adjusted by using a magic T-tuner 10. When sufficient energy is supplied to the pipe material, the generator 1 is turned off. |
