PURPOSE: To eliminate the restriction on the space of a motor assembly by providing an electric motor with a connection device which has a first device which accommodates a protector, connecting one end each of a pair of windings in common with the protector, and a second device which retains the protector in the specified position, being connected mutually with this device. CONSTITUTION: This motor is equipped with a connection device which connects an outer lead wire, a thermal protector, and the ends of a pair of windings with one another. The connection device 1 has a first device 3 which connects the one end of each winding in common with the thermal protector P. The device 3 which includes a protector block 5 accommodates the thermal protector P. The connection device 1 further has a second device 53 which retains the protector P in specified position, being fixed mutually with the device 3. For the device 53, the protector P is connected with the outer lead, and the ends E1, E2, and E3 of the windings are connected severally to outer leads. For electric connection, IDC terminals T1, T2, and T3 are used. Hereby, the downsizing of the connection device becomes possible, and the restriction on space is eliminated. |
