<p>The roll stand of a rolling mill comprises two frames (1), backing rolls (3) with cushions (4, 5), mounted in the frames, and working rolls capable of being connected to their rotational drive mounted on one side of the stand. The frames (1) and the cushions (4, 5) of the backing rolls (3) are provided with plates (6, 8 and 7, 9) through which they contact each other. The plates (6, 8 and 7, 9) on the frames (1) and cushions (4, 5) of the backing rolls (3) are provided with chamfers forming a cotter joint of said cushions (4, 5) with the frames (1), the wedge tips of the plates (7, 9) of the cushions (4, 5) of the backing rolls (3) being directed towards the drive of the working rolls.</p> |
