<p>PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in a picture by obtaining correlation with at least either of raster and dot of a read picture with a standard data and applying interpolation or interleaving in response to the correlation. CONSTITUTION:Picture information read by a picture information read means is stored in a page memory 11 and one raster block of a raster number in response to the set magnification and reduction rate is transferred and stored in a line buffer 12. A standard data generated from a standard data generating section 113 is stored in a standard data storage section 114 and a correlation arithmetic means 117 uses the standard data and the stored picture data so as to detect the correlation of the picture data with respect to the standard data. An interpolation/interleave decision section 119 decides the raster to be interpolated or interleaved by the data, the picture information is interpolated or interleaved, and transferred and stored in the page memory 11. Thus, the deterioration of the picture by magnification or reduction is prevented.</p> |
