<p>PURPOSE: To improve the positioning precision of drawing and inserting the leading block by installing friction pads attached to the horizontal deck plate as a first and a second guide assembly and a spring member attached to the frame above the friction pads. CONSTITUTION: After mounting the cartridge 10 of the tape attached with a leading block is mounted on the drive chuck section 36, the threading mechanisms 50, 44 engaged with the leading block 16 insert the leading block 16 into the winding hub 60 along the tape passage which passes the reading/ writing head 52. During the rewinding operation, the leading block 16 is drawn from the winding hub 60 and returned and inserted into the cartridge 10. Also friction pads 70, 72 which are attached to the first and second guide means, namely the friction pads 70, 72 attached to the deck plate 40 and spring members 42a, 42b attached to the frame 28 are installed. Thus, the positioning precision of the leading block is greatly improved.</p> |
