PURPOSE:To manufacture a carpet for an automobile, having satisfactory pad surface shape, dimensional accuracy and adhesive properties by forming a through hole at a carpet body, so placing the body on a stationary mold as to dispose the hole above the gate of the mold in a state that the mold is opened, and injecting molten thermoplastic resin in its cavity. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 9 is formed in advance at the pad molding position of a carpet body 7, the body 7 is so placed on a stationary mold 3 as to dispose the hole 9 above the gate 11 of a stationary mold 3 in a state that the mold 1 is opened, and a movably mold 2 is clamped. Then, molten thermoplastic resin 14 is injected from the gate 11 of the mold 3 into a cavity formed by the surface of the body 7 and the recess of the mold 2 through the hole 9 of the body 7, the mold 1 is then cooled to cool the injected molten thermoplastic resin 14 to be solidified. Thus, a pad is molded at the predetermined position on the surface of the body 7 and simultaneously laminated thereon. |
