PURPOSE:To improve the quality of an optical disk by laminating a titanium alloy layer and a metal layer on the surface of a metal matrix successively, forming recessed and projected shape of said metal layer and forming a signal recording surface. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of metal matrix 1 as insert blocks of cavities of an injection molding die are manufactured respectively on the cavity side and the core side and work as the die of cart size for two pieces. Then, PVD treatment is carried out on the surface turned into a mirror, and a chrome layer 3 is deposit by sputtering on a silicon titanium film 2 already manufactured. Then, the chrome layer in a recording medium is coated with a photoresist. After that, a bit pattern is exposed to the photoresistor by a writing device having an X-Y stage and He-Cd laser as a light source. Then, etching is carried out to the chrome layer by, for instance, immersing the same into cerium nitrate ammonium solution, and washing is carried out. Thus, a bit pattern having a signal recording layer 5 can be formed. |
