SECONDARY BATTERY

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the current capacity and improve the self-discharge characteristic by using a carbon material with a specific structure carbonized with crystal cellulose for the carrier of a negative electrode. CONSTITUTION:A secondary battery is provided with a negative electrode body 4 constituted of an active material and a carrier carrying it. The active material is constituted of alkali metal made of lithium or mainly made of lithium, and the carrier is made of a carbon material carbonized with crystal cellulose grains. The carbon material has the hydrogen/carbon atomic ratio of less than 0.10, the spacing (d002) of the (002) plane of 3.37Angstrom or above by the X-ray wide angle diffraction method, and the crystallite size (Lc) of 150Angstrom or below in the c-axis direction.
