PURPOSE:To perform recording of good precision even through a kind and a condition of a recording surface vary by a method wherein an auxiliary deflecting electrode which deflects an ink drop reversely to a deflecting direction made by a deflecting electrode. CONSTITUTION:An ink drop is charged according to recording information with a charging electrode 2, deflected with a deflecting electrode 3, and directed to a recording surface 4 to perform recording. At that time, the more charged ink drop is deflected by the larger angle, and reaches the recording surface 4 tracing a locus 5, the less charged ink drop is deflected by the smaller angle, and reaches the recording surface 4 tracing a locus 6. Before those ink drops reach the recording surface 4, they are deflected reversely to the deflecting direction by the deflecting electrode 3 with an auxiliary deflecting electrode 9 so that flying loci of respective ink drops become parallel to each other between the differently charged ink drops. |
