PURPOSE:To effectively secure the installing space of a driving means and to obtain the making of a magneto-optical disk device into thin shape by ascending/descending only a permanent magnet with a cartridge, and fixing a motor. CONSTITUTION:The magneto-optical recording medium of the permanent magnet 2 is set movably freely with the cartridge 15 to house it, and the driving means engaged with the permanent magnet 2 when it is located at a position where a bias magnetic field is impressed on the magneto-optical recording medium and to rotate the magnet is provided. In other words, the permanent magnet 2 is separated from a driving part, and the motor 12 is fixed on the case of the magneto-optical disk driving device, and the motor 12 can be engaged with the permanent magnet 2 when a disk medium is located at the position where the bias magnetic field by the permanent magnet 2 is impressed. In such a way, it is possible to secure the installing space of the driving part effectively, and to make the disk medium driving device into the thin shape. |
