PURPOSE:To allow the programmer to input a program without notifying the internal expression form of a character string by converting the internal expression form dynamically in response to the processing content of the character string to be handled. CONSTITUTION:In the conversion of the internal expression form of a character string by a computer system, a 2-byte character (C) ' ' is. inserted to a character string S having the internal expression S1 for, e.g., 1-byte character string to obtain a character string S'ab cd' by the external expression (S2') of the 2-byte character string. Thus, the programmer inserts the 2-byte character (C) ' ' to the 1-byte character string S without notifying the internal expression form of each character string, simplifies the programming and reduces mis-input.
