PURPOSE:To execute a quick change control of a musical tone by responding quickly to a quick variation of a pitch frequency by executing independently an operation for bringing a characteristic of the musical tone to variable control in accordance with pitch variation information and a periodic signal by both an extraction timing of the pitch information and the generation timing of the periodic signal. CONSTITUTION:In case when tension of a string which is vibrating has been varied, pitch information extracted at every timing from a pitch extracting means 2 is varied, therefore, a value of pitch variation information detected from a pitch variation portion detecting means 3 is varied every moment. Also, independently therefrom, a periodic signal generating means 5 generates a periodic signal, for instance, by a prescribed timing. Therefore, in case when a musical tone control means 3 controls a characteristic of a musical tone whose sounding is started by a musical tone generating means 6 or a musical tone which is sounding, based on the pitch variation information and the periodic signal, it is executed not only at the time of a generation timing of the periodic signal but also at every timing by which the value of the pitch variation information is varied every moment. In such a way, even if a pitch of the musical tone is varied by a quick passage, it is possible to follow it up quickly. |
