<p>PURPOSE:To capture and burn up combustible fine particles at any time by installing at least one pair of electrodes penetrating from an air in-take surface to an air discharging surface when fine particles are captured and applying an electric voltage between electrodes adjoining each other. CONSTITUTION:A filter 1 is made from an noncombustible and electrically insulated material in an apparatus having the filter 1 to capture fine particles floating in a gas. At least one pair of electrodes 2, 3 which penetrate from an air in-take surface to an air discharging surface for capturing fine particles are installed while the electrodes being in the inside of the filter 1 or in contact with the filter 1. In the case that conductive and combustible fine particles are captured, electricity is conducted through the captured fine particles themselves so as to heat and burn up the particles and remove them from the filter, as necessary by applying electric voltage between the electrodes 2, 3 adjoining each other. As a result, the filter can maintain a high function for a long period.</p> |
