PURPOSE: To damp not only the small amplitude of vibration but to pass the large amplitude of vibration undamped intact by forming two chambers to be hydraulically connected with each other via a throttle passage in the shape of a hollow space, and connecting both the chambers via a passage with a valve. CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic shock damping silent block is comprised of an inward pipe 1, an intermediate pipe 11 and a rubber member 3 inserted into a space between these two pipes. Two chambers 5 and 6 to be connected to each other via a throttle passage 4 are formed in the shape of a hollow space of the rubber member 3. A valve 7 is shown in the shape of a rubber lip piece 9. This rubber lip piece 9 is in a passage 8, and this passage 8 is closed in space between both these chambers 5 and 6. In time of a large vibration, this rubber lip piece 9 is tilted by dint of high internal pressure of either side of these chambers 5 and 6 and the passage 8 is released as a bypass for the throttle passage 4. Thus, not only the small amplitude of vibration is damped but the large amplitude of vibration is passed through undamped intact. |
