PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of recording paper and to easily contrast a standard waveform and an inspection waveform with each other by recording only the standard signal waveform and the inspected waveform of a defective material at the time of calibration. CONSTITUTION:A flaw of a material 1 which runs as shown by an arrow is detected spirally by heads 2 and 3 provided to a rotary body 2, whose flaw detection signals are sent to a flaw detecting circuit 5 by a brush 4. Then the output of the circuit 5 while sent to a synchroscope 6 is sent to the central arithmetic unit 10 of an electronic computer 9 through AD converters 8 and 14. The material detection signal of a sensor 11 provided on the movement path of the material 1 is counted by a counter 12, whose count signal is also sent to the unit 10. Then the computer 9 stores a memory 13 with a material number signal sent from the counter 12 and a wide-band signal sent from a converter 8 and decides whether or not there is a flaw when the flaw detection of the material is completed; and the storage is held when the flaw is found, but deleted when not. Consequently, the amount of used recording paper may be small and the waveform signals are easily contrasted with each other. |
