PURPOSE:To estimate a fault location quickly with high accuracy by discriminating fault notice information of a communication network depending on each occurred location, collecting a specified fault event with a fault occurrence pattern registered in advance and generating the information specifying the fault location. CONSTITUTION:A pooling means 1 applies timewise rounding to fault notice information and identifies the cause to a fault by equalizing deviated times of fault occurrence. A grouping means 2 applies timewise rounding to fault notice information and prevents the dispersion of a fault event to be recognized by correcting the unarrived fault notice information by original fault information. The representing processing of a fault pattern due to rounding of the fault event is inserted to a pre-stage, and the extraction processing of the fault pattern by a fault location specification means 3 requires only the extraction processing of the representative fault pattern. Thus, the load of processing is relieved and the estimate accuracy is improved by routine processing and simplification of the specification processing. |
