PURPOSE:To weld thin plates to a wet seal section with no thermal distortion and a high sealing property by inserting a material melted or half-melted at a high temperature as seal materials and applying the spot welding while avoiding the seal materials. CONSTITUTION:Flexible sheets 18 and 18 made of a thin plate are connected to the center plate 11 of a separator from both sides in a wet seal section, a high sealing property is required. For this connection, seal materials 19 and 19 are inserted between the flexible sheets 18 and 18 and the center plate 11 at the junction to be connected, presser plates 20 and 20 are put on the outsides, the presser plates 20 and 20 pinch the flexible sheets 18 and 18 at the place separated from the seal materials 19 and 19, the spot welding is applied to the center plate 11. The seal materials 19 and 19 are melted or half-melted by the heat caused by the cell operation to exert the sealing property, the spot welding does not generate thermal distortion. |
