PURPOSE:To make it possible to positively supply water in an open tank to a water heating can by reducing the quantity of combustion of a burner a little before complete short water thus to prolong the time up to the complete short water and opening a valve mounted on a communication pipe for communicating an open tank with a hot water heating can. CONSTITUTION:When a hot water heating can 3 starts short water, steam generated is rapidly reduced, and an internal pressure of the hot water heating can 3 is lowered and short water starting can be detected by a pressure switch. When the quantity of heat generated by the burner 4 is reduced by a signal from a short water start detection switch 8, the time in which the hot water heating can 3 reaches a complete short water state from a local short water state is elongated. When a valve 9 is opened by a signal from a short water start detection switch 8, water within an open switch, tends to flow into the hot water heating can 3 by a head pressure. On the other hand, steam in the hot water heating can 3 tends to slip off into the open tank 1. But, the steam in the hot water heating can 3 is liquefied by water. Further, the quantity of steam generated from the hot water heating can 3 is reduced. Therefore, water within the open tank 1 reaches the hot water heating can 3. Water which has flowed into the hot water heating can 3 puts the inside of the hot water heating can 3 to a negative pressure, and hence water within the open tank 1 is absorbed by the hot water heating can 3 and the tank becomes filled with water in a short time. |
