发明名称 STARTING METHOD FOR FUEL BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the starting time by supplying the air partitioned by temperatures when a fuel battery consisting of laminated unit cells to be started. CONSTITUTION:Unit cells 3 are laminated and pinched by an upper fastening members 1 and a lower fastening member 2. When the battery is to be started, the top and bottom of the battery have greater heat emission because of existence of these fastening members to cause slower temp. rise than the central part. The inlet side manifold 19 for supply air is partitioned into an upper, a middle, and a lower compartments by partition plates 20, 21, and they send wind to the upper, middle and lower parts of this laminated battery, respectively. When the battery is to be started, wind is sent to the upper, middle, and lower parts via a control valve, wherein the upper and lower chamber are fed more with hot air than the central chamber. Thereby differently situated unit cells 3 can uniformly attain the temp. for electrochemical reaction in a short time, so that the starting time can be shortened.
