PURPOSE:To obtain high contrast and excellent recording and display characteristic by constituting an image holding part body by laminating a diffusion reflecting layer formed by dispersing a fine grain in a binding resin, on at least a conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The image holding part body 5 is constituted by laminating a diffusion reflecting layer 6 formed by diffusing a fine grain in a binding resin, on at least the conductive layer. In this state, a columnar magnet 2 is rotated in a non-magnetic cylinder 3, and conductive colored magnetic fine powder 1 which is colored is carried onto the non-magnetic cylinder 3, and allowed to pass through an acicular recording electrode 4 arrayed densely along the axial direction on the non-magnetic cylinder 3. Also, a voltage is applied between the image holding part body 5 having the diffusion reflecting layer 6 on the surface of a conductive supporting body 7, and the recording electrode 4, in accordance with image information, and the conductive colored magnetic fine powder 1 is allowed to stick to a recording medium to only the part where the voltage is applied, by which an image is formed. In such a way, the high contrast and excellent recording and display characteristic are obtained. |
