PURPOSE: To accelerate a sales sum-up processing by making a POS terminal equipment prepare sales data based on response data from a storage control part, add a class code included in the response data to the sales data and transmit them to the storage control part. CONSTITUTION: When the inquiry of item registration information is generated from a POS terminal 1, an item registration information file is retrieved and the unit price and the class code of a pertinent item are responded in a storage controller 2. In the POS terminal 1 which receives the response, the sales data are prepared based on the response data, the class code included in the response data is added to the sales data and they are transmitted to the storage controller 2. Thus, in the storage controller 2, sales summing up for the respective items is performed based on the received sales data, the sales summing up for respective classes is performed by the class code added to the sales data and the sales sum-up processing is accelerated. |
