The present invention relates to a process for automatically coupling and re-joining the thread (7), which may possibly break on a determined spinning bobbin (14) of a ring spinning frame, with the roving (6), or bundle of textile fibres, exiting the last pair of drawing rolls (24,26), as well as to a device for carrying out such a process. The process according to the present invention essentially consists of approaching the end of the thread (7), coming from the spinning bobbin (14), to the bundle of textile fibres (6), exiting the last pair of drawing rolls (24,26), by means of the sucking action performed by a sucking "air race" (2a) inside which said thread and said fibre bundle get coupled and joined with each other, with the spinning process being resumed.
