PURPOSE:To improve the color reproducibility and the light resistance of a cyan dye by incorporating an imidazole type cyan coupler together with a specified phosphate in the title material. CONSTITUTION:One or more kinds of the imidazole type cyan coupler (A) such as a compd. shown by formula I and one or more kinds of the phosphate shown by formula II (B) are incorporated in the silver halide photographic sensitive material. In formula I, R1 and R2 are each a substituting group, (n) is 0-5, X is H atom. or a group capable of being released by allowing to react with the oxidant of a color developing main agent. In formula II, R<1>-R<3> are each an aliphatic or an aromatic group, (l)-(n) are each 0 or 1. The component A may be dissolved or dispersed in the component B and then added together in the sensitive material. When the components A and B are used in combination the color reproducibility of the sensitive material is improved by shifting the max. absorption wavelength region of the cyan dye coming from the component A to a short wavelength side, and the preservability of the image of the cyan dye is improved. |
