PURPOSE:To readily fix toner even for intermittently driving in line unit by employing capsule toner containing substance expanding volumetrically by means of projecting light on its inside. CONSTITUTION:The microcapsule toner 17 is employed as the toner used by the developing means 5 of an electrophotographic serial printer. Since it contains the substance which is dissolved by projecting light and generates gas in its shell, the gas generated by light projection breaks the shell to allow the core substance to flow out. The flowing core substance is absorbed with the fiber of a recording sheet 8 and fixed, thereby recording an image. Thus, the transfer and fixing in an electrophotographic process can be performed simultaneously at a fixed speed; therefore a highly accurate printing is attainable. |
