PURPOSE: To clean polished rice without washing by providing the rice polishing machine with a hopper, a rice polishing body having many small pores, a freely rotatable polishing body provided with many flexible projecting bodies on its surface, a driving body, an external casing and an air flow generator. CONSTITUTION: The polished rice is fed into the hopper 1. When the polishing body 2 is rotated in an arrow A direction (Fig. 4), the polished rice flows into a rice polishing chamber 10. The polished rice R1 flowing therein is displaced outward by centrifugal force in the process of flowing downward between brushes 3a and is rolled in an arrow B direction so that the bran or the like on the surface are removed by the brushes 3a. Since the brushes 3a have flexibility, the polished rice R2 enters the spacings between the inside surface of the rice polishing body 2 and the brushes 3a. The polished rice is softly held and is rolled in an arrow C direction. As a result, the bran or the like on the surface is surely removed by the many small pores disposed at the rice polishing body 2. The removed bran or the like is introduced from a suction port 6b to a cyclone 8 by the air swirling from the air suction port of the external casing 6 to the suction port 6b and the air flowing from an outflow port 1a and a rice discharge port 9a, by which the bran or the like is separated to the air and the bran or the like. |
