The double-rotating electric machine with its matching control-device may act as (flywheel-)starter and/or as electric motor/generator and/or as differential torque-converter. It consists of an inner-rotor (202) and an outer-rotor (204). The flywheel formed by the outer-rotor enables storage of kinetic energy in order to use the machine to supply burst-energy e.g. for starting combustion-engines. Either one of the rotors of machine is connected, directly or by means of gear-wheel or flange, to incoming or outgoing (201, 207) shaft. Moreover, both rotors are connected to two elements of a planetary gear (203, 204, 205, 206) while the third element of this gear is connected to a second incoming or outgoing shaft (201, 207). The rotors may rotate in the same or opposite direction and one of the rotors may be blocked for a fixed transmission-ratio. |
