PURPOSE: To provide a nonvolatile memory capable of changing easily the memory capacity. CONSTITUTION: This memory is provided with a plurality of memory modules MOD0-MOD7, a controller 210 for controlling the operation of the plurality of memory modules in response to access requirement from the outside, and a module selection decoder 220 for changing selectively the memory modules into the enable state by decoding a selection signal outputted from the controller. In the device, the memory modules are mounted detachably, to thereby enable the change of the memory capacity by increase or decrease of the memory modules.
