The plug (16) has a cylindrical part (32) and a larger diameter base (34) with a hole (36) through the middle for the conductor cable. The connecting pins (22) for the conductors project from the top of the cylindrical part, which has three pins (20) projecting radially from it, forming a bayonet connection with contacts (6) mounted on the corresponding part of the socket (2) which is mounted flush with the wall (1). The radial pins are supported by a radial insulating surface (23) inside the socket. The contacts can be resilient curved strips, and connections with a conductor cable are made by pins (7) accessible from the rear of the socket. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for lamp and other electric equipment. Good contact is maintained in event of tension being applied to plug.
