The invention relates to a door fitting having in each case one handle on the push side and pull side of the door, said handles being mounted such that they can rotate about axes (pins) and being in connection with the bolt of the door lock by means of coupling elements which convert the rotary movements of the handles into adjustment movements of the bolt. Upon actuating the handle, an opening component is transmitted to the door if the configuration is such that the axes of the handles are aligned parallel to the door and that the handles are fitted in such a manner that, on the push side, a pivot movement of the handle exerts a push component in the opening direction of the door and, on the pull side, a pivot movement of the handle exerts a pull component in the opening direction of the door.
