STATOR ASSEMBLY OF ROTARY MACHINE

PURPOSE: To attempt an enhanced rigidity of a stator by radially extending a plurality of posts from a structure circumferentially extending and securing a self-support ring between both ends of each post. CONSTITUTION: From the inner casing 36 of a stator assembly, a plurality of posts 38 are radially extended. A lug 44 is formed at the location between both ends of each post 38 and a seal ring assembly 46 is disposed within each lug 44. The intermediate case 34 of the stator assembly is formed of a material with a greater co-efficient of thermal expansion than that of the seal ring assembly 46. Thus, tension stress can be given to the seal ring assembly 46 and the rigidity of the stator can be enhanced.
