<p>The leaf spring comprises a flexble plate (1) of variable section. It has centre and end sectors terminating in connection loops whose longitudinal axes are normal to the neutral spring plate plane passing through its cross-section centres of gravity. The plate end sectors (3,4) should differ in length (S,S1) and are arranged so that a geometrical line (12) linking the centres (13,14) of the end loops (7,8) is at an acute angle ALPHA to the part of the neutral line (11) in the centre plate sector (2). The looped ends are sited so the distances (l,l1) from the loop axes to the centres of gravity of the end/centre sector junction planes (15,17) are equal. Preferably the distance for the longer end sector (3) should differ from the distance for the relatively shorter end sector (4).</p> |
