Device for laser treatment of tissue

A description is given of a device for laser treatment of tissue and, in particular, for removing tissue using a laser whose beam is directed onto the region of the tissue which is to be treated. The device according to the invention is distinguished in that at least one sensor detects the fluorescence radiation emanating from the region of the tissue which is to be treated by virtue of the incident laser radiation, and in that in order to identify the irradiated type of tissue a spectral analysis unit determines the spectral distribution of the fluorescence radiation detected by the sensor.
