PURPOSE:To send an arbitary part of a picture in a screen by sending the position information of a picture to be transmitted, the data of a horizontal direction size and data of a vertical direction size and designating the writing position of the picture data of a receiving side. CONSTITUTION:A position designating device 2 sends the data of (X, Y), LH and LV to an encoder 4. The encoder 4 encodes the data of (X, Y), LH and LV and sends them to a line 22. A receiving device 12 decodes 5 the data which are sent, informs a position designating device 6 of them when the data are position information and sets the writing position of picture data to be sent next. A transmitting device 11, next, successively reads the picture data of an area designated by the position designating device 2 from a memory 3, encodes 4 them and outputs them to the line 22. The receiving device 12 decodes 5 the data from the line 22 and successively writes them in a range designated by the position designating device 6 of a memory 7. |
