COLOR IMAGE RECORDING METHOD

PURPOSE:To decrease disturbance of a toner image and carryover in a prestage of superimposing development by setting the moving speed of prescribed developers for the 2nd and ensuing developments in a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:The developments in at least the 2nd and ensuing developing stages are executed by using the two-component developers consisting of toners and carriers dispersed with magnetic powder in binder resins and having <=4.0g/cm<2> density and under the conditions under which the moving speed of the developers (VDev) and the moving speed of a recording medium drum 10 (VPR) satisfy the equation. For example, the photosensitive layer 10a on the drum 10 is electrostatically charged by a charger 1 and the electrostatic latent image corresponding to a 1st color is formed by a 1st exposing means 2a; thereafter, the image is developed to the sensible image by a 1st developing means 3a. The latent image corresponding to a second color is then formed by the 2nd exposing means 2b and is then developed to the sensible image by supplying the above-mentioned developer under the conditions expressed by the formula by a 2nd developing means 3b. The resultant toner image is transferred to transfer paper 8.
