PURPOSE:To separate hydrogen from gases containing hydrogen molecules efficiently, and effectively in terms of fractional percentage by providing a superconducting magnet near the penetration side of a hydrogen separation membrane. CONSTITUTION:A penetration side 3 of a hydrogen separation membrane 2 is permitted to be set to a decompression state, and at the same time, a magnetic field generated by a superconducting magnet 4 provided near the penetration side of the hydrogen separation membrane 2 is allowed to act on gas containing hydrogen. Consequently, the gas of high hydrogen concentration can be supplied to the hydrogen separation membrane 2 by a difference in the pressures of the supply side 1 and penetration side 3 of hydrogen separation membrane 2 and also a strong magnetic field generated by the superconducting magnet 4. Thus the hydrogen concentration of the gas permeating through the hydrogen separation membrane 2 is increased. |
