PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to move a recording and reproduction system frequently and to perform information recording and reproduction of high quality efficiently at a high speed by scanning a light beam spot formed on an optical card optically. CONSTITUTION:When one optical card 011 reaches a specific position of the recording and reproduction part, a conveying means 015 puts an optical modulator provided in a laser light source part 004 in modulating operation according to information extracted from an information source while conveying the card. A signal for deflection is applied to a laser beam deflector 005 in synchronism with the modulating operation to scan the laser beam spot on the optical card 011. Then when the recording of information on the optical card is completed, the optical card is carried to a sorter part 013. |
