PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for switching operation by a user while eliminating the need for external mounting of a component for setting equipment-based codes to a remote control IC by providing plural signal lines for generating the equipment-based codes. CONSTITUTION:A key output circuit 12 outputs a scanning signal to a keyboard switch section 5 and an equipment-based code generating section 6 corresponding to plural signal lines A-H and 4 equipment-based code signal lines I-L. Moreover, a part corresponding to the equipment-based code is connected among cross points of matrixes comprising 2nd signal lines a-p and 3rd signal line I-L of the equipment-based code generating section 6. Thus, when two scanning signals are outputted by the key output circuit 12, two codes are stored in an equipment-based code latch circuit 14 and a key data code is stored in a key data register 13 and transmission data is outputted by a control circuit 15.
