PURPOSE:To prevent the disappearance of trouble content at the time of the occurence of a trouble even if a door is opened, by mounting a means for prohibiting the application of resetting to a control apparatus regardless of the detection output of a detection means detecting the opening of the door when the trouble detection means of a recording apparatus detects the existence of trouble. CONSTITUTION:When a printer displays the deficiency of the residual amount of toner and the jamming of paper is generated, an operator takes a measure by opening an upper door but, at this time, the control program of CPU 201 is once reset. However, when important trouble such as the trouble of the fixing device of the printer, the trouble of a polygon motor or the signal detection trouble of a beam detector is already generated when the upper door is opened, the trouble mode thereof is held without resetting the control program. When delay jamming is already generated in the printer when a CPRDY signal becomes false for a definite time, the mode of paper jamming is held without resetting the control program. |
