PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, containing a nicotinic acid derivative and fluoropropionate, capable of promoting good growth of planted trees, such as SUGI (Japanese cedar), by synergistic action, selectively inhibiting growth of miscellaneous weeds and trees for a long period and providing weeding and brushing effects without conversion into bare land. CONSTITUTION:A composition, containing at least one nicotinic acid derivative selected from 2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-imidazolyl-2-yl)nicotinic acid which is a herbicide having nonselective and long sustained effects and suitable for uncultivated land, alkali metal salts, lower alkyl esters, mono- and di-lower alkylamine salts thereof and at least one fluoropropionate selected from Na, K, Ca and NH4 salts of 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropionic acid which are used in uncultivated and forest lands, mainly absorbed from root systems and capable of individually exhibiting activity only against monocotyledonous plants in combination and used for spraying. The amounts of the ingredients based on 1ha are 0.1-0.8kg of the former and 1-5kg of the latter.
