An agent for treatment and prevention of nephritis comprising at least one imidazoquinazoline compound represented by formula <IMAGE> wherein R1 represents a dialkylamino group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms in each alkyl moiety, or an unsubstituted or substituted cyclic amino group; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.
