PURPOSE:To miniaturize a camera and to eliminate the need of processing the outward appearance of a photographic lens equipped with a zooming function by arranging the photographic lens in the outer shell of a camera main body. CONSTITUTION:The photographic lens 55 where a variator 4 consisting of a variable magnification lens and a compensator 5 consisting of a focus lens are arranged movably in one fixed barrel 56 is arranged in the outer shell of the camera main body 68 by being fixed in the camera main body through a fitting part 89 for the fixed barrel 56. Thus, the photographic lens 55 is put in the outer shell of the camera main body 68 to increase the degree of freedom of design as to the outward appearance shape of the camera and the camera is made simple and miniaturized on the whole. Further, the outward appearance of the photographic lens 55 does not appear outside, so its outward appearance need not be processed.
